The Nevada Seat Belt Coalition urges Nevadans to buckle up and arrive alive this Holiday Season

The National Safety Council estimates that this Thanksgiving Holiday there will be 479 fatalities on U.S. roads between 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday through 11:59 p.m. on Sunday.  The NSC also estimates there will be 408 lives saved by wearing seat belts and another 115 lives could be saved if people only buckled up.

The 479 estimate is a drop from 2007 estimates and totals. In 2007 542 lives were lost and 564 were estimated to be lost.
